Australian Fire near Sydney World Motorcycle Challenge 2002 |
||

|
Fire in Australia is a growing problem, while waiting in Sydney for a total of six days for customs to clear the bike, I got bored. So guess what ? I hired a VFR 800 Honda. On the way out of the city to the Blue Mountains we (Jane and I) came across a fire. This was a controlled back burn so the fire officer said and just as he said that the fire got out of control. He got his men and the helicopter in to regain control. It was a bit close to the houses, anyway they got this put out with one helicopter load of water and what a splash this was. Certainly the New South Wales fire brigade know how to deal with this type of fire as they get a lot bigger. |
