| Suzuki Hayabusa Wheel Bearing Smashed | |||||||||||
|
Adrian Rountree didn't have much luck with his Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 in Australia, Near Port Hedland he was doing about 70mph & the back end of his bike started to wonder, after getting of his bike he had found that the rear wheel bearing had smashed to pieces, we could not get a rear bearing anywhere in OZ at the time so the bike went in the pickup truck to Perth (about 2000 miles away) and on the flight to Singapore, as we had to wait for the Singapore customs to do there job Adrian had already arrange back in OZ for a bearing to meet up with us at the freighter in Singapore, we finally got the bearing two days later which came in three parts, "but hay" we had no tools only a hammer, you can forget trying to get a bearing press anywhere, of all places you think that Singapore would have such a tool, so we used our heads and used the hammer and his rear wheel spindle from the Suzuki to bash the old bearing parts out of the wheel and place the new bearings in, this worked fine just like the professionals at Suzuki. |
